Sacred Medicine Walk.Slow your pace, greet the Spirits present in nature, and walk in harmony with our non-human friends.
Transpersonal psychologist Merry Coburn will lead this one-day Sacred Medicine Walk through fields and tree-lined borders. Bring your intention for healing or a wish for clarity. Engage with the wise Spirits of the land. Sit quietly with an old tree, a gentle stream or an ageless rock. See, hear, and feel their message for you. Share what you learned with others as our day concludes in a circle. Before the walk, Shamanic teacher Cynthia Nado will provide instruction on how to journey in the shamanic way. The medicine walk is a wonderful event for families. Children love it. All are welcome! Please bring a MASK, drinking water, snack, insect/tick repellent, an eye cover/bandanna and a cushion or blanket/pad to sit upon. Shamanic lens, A workshop for the seasons, Shamanic Lens is an opportunity to revel in nature through ceremony and photography. Experience the bounty of summer, the glorious colors of fall, the white mystery of winter, and the verdant green of spring.
First, you’ll learn how to create sacred space and quietly commune with the spirit of the land. Feeling connected to the natural surroundings, you’ll capture images of whatever details speak to you: the trees, flora, and any sentient beings that choose to reveal themselves. All you’ll need is a camera, curiosity, and patience! No photographic experience or fancy camera is required. Just bring your fully charged cell phone. The workshop involves walking in areas that may have uneven terrain. Your participation requires physical steadiness and the ability to stand for lengths of time. Interested? Please email Lorraine to save your place! Instructor: Lorraine Woerner Dates: Saturday, August 19 (Rain Date Sunday, August 20) Time: 9:30 AM Cost: $40 Location: upon registration |
