Sacred Medicine Walk

Upper World
Slow your pace, greet the Spirits present in nature and walk in harmony with our non-
human friends. Transpersonal psychologist Merry Coburn will lead this one-day Sacred Medicine Walk through fields and tree-lined borders. Bring your intention for healing or a wish for clarity. Engage with the wise Spirits of the land. Sit quietly with an old tree, a gentle stream or an ageless rock. See, hear, and feel their message for you. Share what you learned
with others as our day concludes in a circle. Before the walk, Shamanic teacher Cynthia Nado will provide instruction on shamanic journeying. All are welcome!

Please bring drinking water, insect repellent, an eye cover/bandanna and a cushion or blanket to sit upon.

Intro to Shamanism

Shamanic Power Animal
An in-depth, two-day introductory workshop on Shamanism based on the core principles introduced to Western society by well-known anthropologist Michael Harner. Learn about this spiritual path and the best-practice basics to help you develop a foundation for healing for yourself and for working with your power animals and spirit teachers. Participation in this workshop will begin to “thin the veil” between what you see in everyday daily life and what can be seen in other worlds, once you become aware of what has always been with you.

Instructor: Cynthia Nado
Dates: TBD
Time: 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Cost: $185
Location: Honeoye, NY

Forgiving Ourselves

and Others

This workshop will focus on the power of releasing old patterns and constraints that are limiting our ability to be fully who we are.  It will explore forgiveness beyond the emotional to the spiritual dimension of the Great Mystery and the Great Game of life.  We will look at forgiveness as an energy that neutralizes the charge attached to a person or event, releasing us and the person or event from the debt that is allegedly owed.  Through journey and ritual, we will receive the gift of compassion from spirit to ignite our own compassion in transforming the bindings and remembering the great web of connection in which we are all held. Concepts of “radical forgiveness” and the Hawaiian “ho’oponopono” will be introduced to guide the process.

Basic Workshop in
Core Shamanism

During the MICHAEL HARNER'S Basic Workshop in CORE SHAMANISM - The Way of The Shaman, participants are introduced to core shamanism, the universal, near-universal, and common methods of the shaman to enter non-ordinary reality for problem solving and healing. Particular emphasis is on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most remarkable visionary methods used by humankind to explore the hidden universe otherwise known mainly through myth and dream. Participants are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming and other techniques for experiencing the shamanic state of consciousness and for awakening dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with Nature.

Instructor:
Nan Moss

As a well-respected teacher of shamanism, and having worked with Michael Harner and the Foundation for many years, Nan brings a seasoned and compassionate presence to each of her workshops. She has dedicated her life to this work, and it is a privilege to work with her, learning about our deeper selves through the shamanic lens.

Tending Our Ancestors

“Transforming the growing mountain of unresolved ancestral issues is one of the shamanic challenges of our time.”      —Christina Pratt

This workshop will focus on deepening our connection to our Ancestors, who influence our lives through the strengths and burdens of the lineage we inherit.
We will journey through time to find specific Ancestral allies for the deep healing work of the lineage, and draw on cultural traditions such as Mayan and Dagaran that have heartfelt Ancestor connections to guide us.
